ABOUT THE ROLE
The Apprentice will be trained to carry out servicing and maintenance of a range of mining equipment and vehicles and learn all facets of Heavy Duty Mechanics in line with your Trade.
This role is a rare and diverse opportunity as you will work on Mining equipment and large trucks to certain specifications, as well as workshop servicing.
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures;
- Perform work in a professional and courteous manner to their level of competency, which includes basic service work, diagnosing, hydraulic repairs, engine repairs, general repairs and other duties as required
- Participate in and ensure effective housekeeping and maintenance of the Service Workshop; and
- Accept instruction and training provided by the Managing Director and Workshop Leading Hand
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will be a transferring/recommencing 2nd to 3rd Year Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice looking to join the team.
The successful applicant will have an interest in mechanics, a can-do attitude, a good work ethic and be reliable and eager to join a friendly and hardworking team. You must have the ability to pass a pre-start medical, drug and alcohol test, and the right to work in Australia are all required.
