ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Are you passionate about dogs and eager to build a career working with animals. Kaya Moon Oodles, a boutique ethical breeder of Cavoodles, Groodles, Labradoodles, and Poodles, is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Puppy Carer to join its team in the picturesque South West town of Boyanup.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Trainee Puppy Carer will play a key role in the daily care and socialisation of puppies and adult dogs. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals who are reliable, compassionate, and eager to learn about ethical breeding practices and animal welfare.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES

• Assist with daily care, feeding, and grooming of puppies and adult dogs
• Support the socialisation and enrichment of puppies to promote confident temperaments
• Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment
• Monitor the health and wellbeing of animals and report any concerns
• Assist with whelping and early puppy development under supervision
• Learn and adhere to ethical breeding standards and best practices

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Demonstrates a genuine love for dogs and a strong interest in animal care
• Willing to learn and follow established routines and protocols
• Possesses a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a small team
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in a rural setting
• Previous experience with animals is advantageous but not essential
