An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated individual to commence an apprenticeship with OEM Group Pty Ltd, working towards a Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade).

The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to develop practical skills and industry knowledge through a structured apprenticeship program. You will gain hands-on experience in fabrication and workshop activities while completing formal training through a recognised RTO.
Working under the supervision of qualified tradespeople, you will be supported to build your capabilities in fabrication, welding and general workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities
You will assist with the fabrication and assembly of steel, stainless steel and aluminium components while learning to interpret basic engineering drawings and job plans. The role involves measuring, cutting, grinding, fitting and finishing materials, as well as supporting welding activities including MIG, TIG and stick welding in line with your stage of training.
You will operate hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely, assist with material handling and maintain a clean and organised workspace. Participation in both on the job and off the job training is essential, along with maintaining training records and logbooks.
A strong focus on safety and quality is required, including following WHS procedures, participating in toolbox talks and ensuring all work meets required standards.

You are reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team, with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Requirements
Applicants should have completed Year 10 or equivalent, including Maths and English. Have completed a pre-apprenticeship or Certificate II in Engineering Foundations is preferred.
A driver’s licence, forklift licence or basic rigging experience will be highly regarded, along with any prior exposure to workshop or trade environments.
