Ulti-Mech is seeking an Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Newman team.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience working on trucks, heavy vehicles, and fleet equipment while completing a nationally recognised qualification.
About the RoleYou will assist qualified technicians with:
- Heavy vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Mechanical repairs and component replacement
- Vehicle inspections and fault diagnosis
- Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
- Following safe work procedures
- Completing apprenticeship training and workplace evidence requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in heavy vehicles and mechanical work
- Is reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Is willing to learn and develop trade skills
- Can follow instructions and safety procedures
- Works well as part of a team
School leavers, mature-age applicants, and career changers are encouraged to apply.
Desirable Requirements
- Driver's licence preferred
- Pre-apprenticeship advantageous
- Previous mechanical experience advantageous but not essential
- Full-time apprenticeship
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR31120)
- Mentoring from experienced technicians
- Exposure to a variety of trucks and heavy equipment
