Role Overview

This apprenticeship offers hands on experience working alongside qualified refrigeration technicians. You will gain exposure to a wide range of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems while completing your formal training.

 

General Duties

  • Assist qualified refrigeration technicians with the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
  • Assist with fault finding and diagnostics on refrigeration and electrical systems
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
  • Learn and follow safe work practices, including WHS requirements and site safety procedures
  • Maintain accurate job documentation and assist with reporting
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, and customers when required
  • Attend TAFE and complete all training and assessment requirements of the apprenticeship

  • Genuine interest in refrigeration trade
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop technical skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing an apprenticeship

  • White Card (or willingness to obtain)

  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • White Card (Construction Induction) or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
  • Genuine interest in a refrigeration trade apprenticeship
  • Ability to attend and complete required TAFE training
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Physically fit and able to work in commercial and industrial environments
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety
