Heavy Duty Mechanical Apprentices

Our annual apprentice intake is now open, offering 4-year Heavy Duty Mechanical Apprenticeships commencing in February 2027. Successful applicants will be based at our Merredin, Mukinbudin, Cunderdin, or Corrigin branches.

This is an exciting opportunity to start a rewarding career working with industry-leading agricultural machinery and equipment.

During your apprenticeship, you will learn to:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults
• Service, maintain and repair heavy-duty machinery
• Use modern diagnostic equipment and technology
• Work safely in a professional workshop environment
• Develop practical skills under the guidance of experienced technicians

The apprenticeship is full-time and fully paid, providing hands-on industry experience while working towards a:

Certificate III in Agricultural Mechanical Technology

As part of your training, you will attend accredited TAFE training blocks throughout the apprenticeship. You will also receive ongoing mentoring, technical training, and opportunities to develop your skills in line with advances in industry technology.

Previous mechanical experience is advantageous but not essential.

• Any licences held (Driver's Licence, Forklift, etc.)
• Relevant certificates or qualifications
• School reports from the last two years of education (if applicable)
• Any work experience or references
