We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Apprentice to join our workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a hands on career in mechanical fitting or boilermaking with full training provided.
About the Role
As a Mechanical Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople and gain exposure to a wide variety of mechanical and workshop tasks, including:
- Assisting with the assembly and construction of vibrating screens.
- Using a range of hand and power tools.
- Forklift operation and training in overhead crane use.
- Picking, packing, and identifying spare parts for customer dispatch.
- Supporting machine builds, testing, and quality checks.
- Assisting with gearbox strip downs, measurement, inspection, and rebuilds.
- Learning mechanical testing procedures.
- Attending customer sites when required, representing Aury Australia professionally.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, with optional overtime.

Required Skills & Attributes
- Experience working in a workshop environment.
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
- Overhead crane experience (advantageous).
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- A positive, "can do" attitude with punctuality and reliability.
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands on work.
- Ability to take instruction and follow procedures.
- Willingness to work away when required.
- Full, unrestricted driver’s licence.
Essential Requirements
- Ability to work 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday.
- Reliable transport to and from the workplace.
- Ability to pass random Drug & Alcohol testing.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to read and speak English fluently.
- Full working rights in Australia.
