They are currently seeking a motivated x2 Carpentry Apprentice to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Day to day responsibilities:

• Receive regular training as and when agreed in a training program, to understand and learn the trade.
• Operate power tools, when training has been completed, under the direction of your supervisor.
• Provide general assistance to the carpenters including assisting with all types of carpentry work and installation of ceilings, walls and cladding.
• Assisting in general carpentry work and preparation as directed.
• As directed by your supervisor assist with storage, lifting, fetching supplies, unload and check deliveries.
• Receive training so that you can assist with identifying hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Liaising with supervisor and other site workers and performing jobs as and when they are required, in accordance with contract/agreed requirements and within agreed time limits.
• Working using your own initiative within agreed roles – do not wait to be asked!
• Ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety.
• Maintain accurate worksheets and records/documentation associated with your work.
• Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organization and/or its clients/customers or which you think may affect health and safety to your supervisor.
• Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole.
• Adhere to all organization policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility.

SELECTION CRITERIA

• Completed Year 12.
• Pre-apprenticeship completion (preferred but not essential).
• Possession of a white card.
• A basic understanding of hand tools.
• A driver's license, your own car, and tools (tool requirements to be discussed).
