The CompanyCPG undertakes Mechanical and Electrical repairs and maintenance of Diesel Engines, Generators and Components from the Marine, Mining, Power Generation and Industrial sectors throughout Western Australia. CPG is an authorised Distributor for a range of world class products, providing both sales and support for a vast range of customers.The RoleThe Apprentice will be trained to carry out servicing and maintenance of a range of products including Volvo Penta, Kohler and MTU.The successful applicant will be required to:Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures;Perform work in a professional and courteous manner to their level of competency, which includes basic service work, diagnosing, hydraulic repairs, engine repairs, general repairs and replacing pins and bushes;Participate in and ensure effective housekeeping and maintenance of the Service Workshop; andAccept instruction and training provided by the Service Supervisor.The Apprentice will be required to undertake an Australian Apprenticeship, by completing training both on and off site to achieve competency under the formal agreement of the Training Contract.  This includes:Participating in the development of a training plan;Achieving the competencies specified in the training plan;Completing any required training and assessment;Attending training sessions at the Registered Training Organisation (RTO);Participating in supervised workplace activities;Taking advantage of learning opportunities; andMaintaining a record of training.CPG will provide the successful applicant with a uniform, safety boots and safety equipment.The PersonThe successful applicant will have an interest in mechanics, a can-do attitude, a good work ethic and be reliable and eager to join CPG’s small hardworking team.The ideal candidate will be a transferring/recommencing 2nd to 3rd Year Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice looking to join the team.The ability to pass a pre-start medical, drug and alcohol test, and the right to work in Australia are all required.To ApplySelect "Apply for this job" and attach your resume.
