From plants to stonework, furniture to pool design, they carefully consider every aspect of outdoor living requirements in our landscaping projects.De Vries Designs has a unique opportunity to join their small team of high motivated landscapers, based in Perth’s inner suburbs.  This is an opportunity for a Landscape Construction Apprentice to gain the skills to be involved in some of Perth’s best residential landscapes, whilst being mentored by a dynamic team of experienced contractors. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESAs a Landscape Construction Apprentice, you will support the team onsite to construct all aspects of a landscaping project. This includes:Design: Interpret detailed construction drawings and plans (planting, lighting ect), with guidance. Including comprehension of denoted material selections and plants.Construction: Site preparation, installing of softscapes (irrigation, planting) and hardscapes (decking, fencing and paving).Maintenance: Weeding, fertilising, pruning and general maintenance of gardens, structures and irrigation systems.Pools: Assist with site works, set out and other duties that may arise.Learning: Adapting your class-based knowledge into practical skills.Presentation: Maintaining a clean and tidy worksite and pristine outdoor environment for our clients. REQUIRED SKILLS/ATTRIBUTESThere is no experience required to apply for this apprenticeship. Though, the business requires applicants to show an eagerness to learn the trade and conduct the role with a high level of professionalism.Applicants who demonstrate the following attributes will be highly considered:Ability to work in a team environment.Work outdoors in various weather conditions.Strong communication skills.Eager to learn and undertake a Landscape Construction Apprenticeship, including TAFE based learning components.Reliable, with a positive and honest work ethic.Ability to carry out a range of tasks and have good organizational skills.In return, continuous training opportunities and career development will be provided in a flexible and talented work environment. ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA (Driver’s license/Pre-apprenticeship etc.)C class driver’s license.Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia.  Not quite ready to take on an apprenticeship but keen to see if a career in landscaping is for you?
